On December 28, 2023, Brandon police received a report of a break and enter to a storage unit in the 300 block of Victoria Avenue E. An employee checking the security footage observed the suspect enter the unit shortly after 2:00 am. Nothing appeared to be stolen. On December 29, 2023, a 57-year-old male was dropped off at Brandon Police Service by a taxi. The male was extremely intoxicated and could not provide an address to the taxi driver. He was in no condition to care for himself, and police could not find anyone to turn him over to. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
