On January 8th, 2024 at 08:24, Brandon police started receiving reports of damage to vehicles in the area of Cobalt, Fraser and Hawthorn drive. The damage had all occurred overnight. Four vehicles were damaged including smashed windows, damaged seats and damaged door handles. Other unlocked vehicles were entered and rummaged through. One vehicle had the ignition tampered with. From this same area two vehicles were parked in a driveway. One had the windows smashed out of it and the other vehicle a white 2020 Nissan Rogue was stolen. These incidents are still under investigation and are believed to be connected. On January 8th, 2024 at 0100 am, police were called to the area of the 100 block of 1st Street for a male yelling. Police attend and located a 34 year old male who was found to be breaching his release order by being out past his curfew. He was arrested and held for court on January 9th, 2024. While attending to the call, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop with a 33-year-old male in the area who was also known to have a curfew. He was arrested for failing to comply with an undertaking and held for court on January 9th, 2024.

On January 8th, 2024 a 16-year-old female was charged for an alleged assault of another 16-year-old female at a business in the 300 block of 8th Street. Police say the assault had allegedly occurred on May 15th , 2023 and videos had been circulating on social media. Police were finally able to identify the accused. She was arrested and released for court on March 19th, 2024.

On January 8th, 2024 at 04:58 am, Brandon police responded to an alarm at a business in the 600 block of Rosser Avenue. Upon police arrival it was discovered the front window of the business had been smashed. Numerous items were taken from the store. The matter is still under investigation.

On January 8th, 2024 at 09:55 am, a homeowner in the 600 block of 15th Street reported his garage had been broken into. The owner was missing a few tools. The matter is still under investigation.

Arrest Warrants:
On January 8th , 2024 a 17 year old male attended Brandon Police Service to turn himself in as he was aware he was wanted for breaching his probation. He was arrested and released for court on February 23rd 2024.
On January 8th, 2024 at 9:54 pm, Police conducted a pedestrian stop of a 24 year old female in the 100 block of 5th Street, officers were aware she had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. She was arrested and released for court on March 4th, 2024.
On January 8th , 2024 at 01:21 am, Police conducted a pedestrian stop of a 28 year old male in the 800 block of 9th Street, officers were aware he had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints. He was arrested and released for court on February 5th , 2024
On January 8th , 2024 at 10:22 am a 33 year old male attended the court house. Sheriff’s officers were aware he was wanted for failing to attend court on a previous occasion. He was held and turned over to Brandon Police Members. BPS officers arrested him and he was held for court on January 9th, 2024
On January 8th 2024 at 11:34 am a 32 year old male attended Brandon Police Service to turn himself in as he was aware he was wanted for failing to attend for fingerprints. He was arrested and released for court on February 1st, 2024
On January 8th at 12:21 pm police were assisting a government agency in the 600 block of Richmond Avenue. A 32-year-old male was found at the scene and it was learned he had a warrant for failing to comply with his undertaking. He was arrested and released for court on March 18th, 2024
On January 8th , 2024 at 3:34 pm Police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue. A 33-year-old male passenger was found to have a warrant for failing to comply with his release order. He was arrested and held for court on January 9th, 2024.
