Brandon police say Section 2.3 speaks to BOULEVARDS AND SIDEWALKS.
Section 2.3.2 states that Every owner and/or occupant of a property shall clear away and remove, or cause to be cleared away and removed, any and all snow or ice from sidewalks adjacent to their property to a condition to provide safe passage by pedestrians.
A report today said NOT clearing the sidewalks could result in a $150 fine, but the City of Brandon has opting for making residents aware of the bylaw this year, rather than handing out tickets.
