On the morning of 2024-05-30, police attended to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue as the loss prevention employee made a report that a male had stolen a light fixture, in addition to stealing cutlery on the day previous. A 30-year-old male matching the description provided was located in the area. The individual was released with conditions to appear in court 2024-07-18 for charges of Theft Under $5000 X2.
Warrant/Mischief to Property Under $5000
On the morning of 2024-05-30, Brandon police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 500 block of Rosser Avenue with a 49-year-old male. A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest. In addition the accused was identified as being captured on video the day prior when he allegedly threw a rock through the window of a building in the 200 block of 8th Street. The male was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-05-31 for the warrant and as well as the new charge of Mischief to Property Under $5000.

On the afternoon of 2024-05-30, a 43-year-old male attended to BPS to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant of arrest. The accused has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-06-27.
Break, Enter and Commit Mischief
On the afternoon of 2024-05-30, Brandon police received a report from a property manager that on the evening of 2024-05-29, a male suspect was captured on video breaking into a vestibule and then prying open over a dozen mailboxes. On the evening of 2024-05-30, police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 0 hundred block of 9th Street with a 39-year-old male matching the description of video from the Break and Enter. The accused has been lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-05-31 for the charge of Break, Enter and Commit Mischief.
Assault with a Weapon
On the evening of 2024-05-30, police attended to the emergency department of the hospital as security staff had detained a 50-year-old female. Investigation determined that the suspect had been walking past another patient when she allegedly randomly struck the victim in the back with a metal object. No injuries were sustained by the victim. The suspect and 27-year-old victim are not known to each other, and the victim was determined to have done nothing to provoke the assault. The accused was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-05-31 for the charge of Assault with a Weapon.
Assault
On the evening of 2024-05-30, Brandon police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 600 block of 16th Street. Police say a 40-year-old female and a 33-year-old male had allegedly assaulted each other. The two subjects have been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-06-27 for the charge of assault.
Breach of Peace
On the evening of 2024-05-30, police attended to a residence on Darrach Bay as a 23-year-old male family member was intoxicated and allegedly causing a disturbance. The individual was lodged at BPS and will be released once sober.
