-The Edmonton Oilers punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final with a 2-1 victory over the Dallas Stars in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final. They’ll meet the Panthers for Game One in Florida this Saturday.
-The Saginaw Spirit won the 2024 Memorial Cup with a 4-3 win over the London Knights. The Moose Jaw Warriors finished third in the tournament.
-In the South West Baseball League – the Deloraine Royals beat the Rivers Comets 20-11, the Boissevain Centennials topped the the Hamiota Red Sox 22-0, and the Reston Rockets downed the Wawanesa Brewers 6-5.
-Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre won his first PGA Tour title at the RBC Canadian Open. He carded a two-under final round of 68 at Hamilton Golf and Country Club to finish 16 under par – one shot ahead of Ben Griffin. Listowel, Ontario’s Corey Connors finished in 6th place.
-and the Edmonton Elks have signed quarterback Dakota Prukop. The 30-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he recorded 13 rushing touchdowns in 27 games.
