Lieutenant-Colonel Jordan Beatty is the new Commanding Officer of the 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1RCHA) based at CFB Shilo. He assumed command of the unit at a ceremony on Friday, June 7, 2024.
LCol Beatty was most recently employed as an advisor to the Palestinian Authority National Security Forces within the United States Security Coordination office during the onset of the Israel-Hamas war.
He takes over from the outgoing commanding officer LCol Joe O’Donnell, who will be moving overseas for his next posting in Europe.
