-The Stanley Cup final returns to Florida on Tuesday. The Edmonton Oilers beat the Panthers 8-1 on Saturday to force Game 5. Florida leads the best-of-7 final 3-games-to-1.
-At Euro 2024 – England beat Serbia 1-nil yesterday – Denmark and Slovenia tied at 1 – and the Netherlands topped Poland 2-1.
-The Saskatchewan Roughriders edged the Hamilton Tiger Cats 33-30 on Sunday to improve to 2-and-0 in the CFL. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (0-and-2) play again this Friday (June 21) when they host the BC Lions (1-and-1).
-Bryson DeChambeau won his second U-S Open golf championship. He finished at 6 under – 1 shot better than Rory McIlroy. Meanwhile, Corey Conners of Listowel, Ontario, shot an even-par 70 to punch his ticket to the Paris Olympics. Conners, who finished tied for ninth joins Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C., as Canada’s reps in men’s golf.
and Dawn Neal of Winnipeg and Andrew Taylor of Indiana are the 2024 Manitoba Marathon champions. Neal won the women’s marathon for the second year in a row with a time of 2:53:51. Taylor finished at 2:32:51, almost 10 minutes ahead of runner-up Tyler Derksen of Winnipeg.
