Traffic Stop Resulting in Arrests
On June 17th at 2:00am, Brandon police conducted a traffic stop in the back lane of the 500 block of 12th Street. Upon police observing unstamped tobacco and open liquor a search was conducted. Police say the search resulted in finding 2 cartons of unstamped tobacco, 17oz of cocaine, and 75 tablets of OxyContin. A 22 year old male, a 41 year old female, and a 59 year old male were arrested. They were held in custody. The 22 year old male will attend court today, June 18th 2024. The 41 year old female and 59 year old male were released with a court date of August 8th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant: Failure to Attend Court
On June 17th at 9:46am, police attended a residence in the 200 block of 28th Street. A 28 year old female was arrested on the strength of the warrant. She was held in custody and attended court the afternoon of June 17, 2024.
Mischief to Property Under $5000 x5
On June 17th at 1:12pm, Brandon police conducted a persons check in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. A 30 year old male who matched the description of the suspect who had broken several windows around Brandon was arrested. He was held in custody with court on June 18th, 2024.
Assault
On June 16th at 11:08am, a female reported being assaulted in the 1500 block of 26th Street. On June 17th, 2024 the female provided police a statement, and at 6:07pm a 29 year old male was arrested on Cornell Bay. He was later released with a court date of August 26, 2024.
Warrant Arrest: Attempted Robbery/Mischief to Property
On June 17th, 2024 at 6:30pm, Brandon police conducted a persons check in the 200 block of Richmond Avenue. Police say after confirming the identity of the 38 year old female, she was arrested and held in custody, and will attend court June 18th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant: Failure to Attend Court
On June 17th at 11:46pm, police attended a residence in the 200 block of 1st street. A 16 year old male was arrested and later released on an appearance notice with a court date of July 16th, 2024.
Fraud
On June 17th at 11:12pm, Brandon police were called to an establishment in the 1200 block of 18th Street. Police say a 29 year old male was allegedly unable to pay for his bill, and found hiding in the bathroom. He was released with a court date of August 26th, 2024.
Breach of Probation / Breach of Peace
On June 18th at 2:15am police were called to a disturbance in the 1500 block of Stickney Avenue. A 21 year old female and a 20 year old male were found fighting in the street. It was confirmed the female was on a probation order not to communicate with the male. They were both arrested and will be released once sober. The female has a court date of August 28th, 2024.
