The Canadian National Institute for the Blind’s ‘Mobile Hub’ will be in Brandon Thursday (June 27) at the Brandon Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation office at 440 Rosser Avenue.
The ‘Hub’ allows the organization to travel to communities and deliver in-person programming at no cost. Community members who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision can drop in to meet CNIB staff and learn more about free programs and resources for people impacted by blindness. The day encompasses recreational and social activities, technology workshops, and much more.
The Mobile Hub opens at 11:00 am and will a feature presentation on adjusting to vision loss, and a demonstration on some of the assistive tech available from CNIB SmartLife. There’s also a barbecue at noon provided by the Brandon Lion’s Club.
