On the evening of 2024-06-25, Brandon police responded to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue after receiving a report that a male had entered the store while in possession of a club that was altered with nails and barbed wire. The individual was taken into custody without incident and officers allege he had stolen a set of watches and sunglasses. A 48-year-old male was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-06-26 for the charge of Robbery.
Structure Fire
On the evening of 2024-06-25, BPS and BFES responded to the 1400 block of Stickney Avenue for a report of a structure fire. Investigation determined that a building which is scheduled for demolition was allegedly occupied by a group of youth prior to the fire starting. The matter is classified as suspicious and the matter is still under investigation.
Mischief to Property Under $5000
On the evening of 2024-06-25, police attended to a residence in the 800 block of 22nd Street for a report of a male causing a disturbance. Police say an intoxicated 35-year-old male allegedly broke a door to home. The accused was lodged at BPS and will be released once sober with conditions to appear in court 2024-09-05 for the charge of Mischief to Property Under $5000.

On the morning of 2024-06-26, police conducted a pedestrian stop with an individual in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue. A check of police records for the 24-year-old female revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest. The accused has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-07-22.
