Appearance Notice
On June 26th at 10:38am, a person check was conducted in the 1000 block of Lorne Avenue. A 61-year-old male was found to have an outstanding warrant and was released on an appearance notice. Court date set for September 5th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant
On June 26th at 12:26pm Brandon police were directed to execute a Winnipeg arrest warrant for a 35-year-old male who was currently in custody at Brandon Correctional Centre. The warrant was executed, and the male will appear in court on June 27th, 2024.
Intoxicated Person
On June 26th at 5:37pm police were called to a location in the 1500 block of Princess Avenue. Police say a 23-year-old female was found to be highly intoxicated. She was lodged and will be released in the morning once sober.
Breach of Peace
On June 26th police were called to a disturbance in the 100 block of McTavish Avenue East. Upon arrival, officers say a 33-year-old male was found to be intoxicated on substances and causing issues. He was lodged until sober.
Resisting Arrest / Possession of Weapon / Failure to Comply X2
On June 26th at 7:44pm police were called to the 800 block of Rosser Avenue where it was reported individuals with knives were fighting. A 22-year-old male had allegedly discharged a can of bear spray upon police arrival and fled on foot. He was caught, arrested, and later released with a court date of July 25th, 2024. A secondary 36-year-old male was arrested. Police say he was found to be in possession of a hatchet and alcohol contrary to his release order. He was arrested and held for court on June 27th, 2024. No complaints by either parties of assault.
Arrest Warrant
On June 26th police conducted a person check in the 200 block of 25th street. A 39-year-old male had various outstanding warrants regarding weapon possession and was arrested and held for court on June 27th, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On June 26th police were called to a disturbance in the 100 block of 30th Street. Two intoxicated males were found with blood on their faces. A 30-year-old male was arrested and lodged for breach of peace. He will be released once sober.
Break and Enter
On June 26th police were called to a property in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue. Owner reported voices from an area that should be vacant. Members attended and found a 30-year-old male trying to flee. A second 30-year-old male was also located inside. Both males were arrested and held for court in the morning on June 27th, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On June 27th, 2024 police were called to a disturbance in the 500 block of Braecrest Drive. An intoxicated 23-year-old female was reportedly found to be causing the disturbance. She was removed from the home to prevent the continuation of behavior and will be released once sober.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery
At 5:33am on June 27th police located a suspected stolen vehicle in the 1200 block of 10th Street. Investigation confirmed it was stolen. A 29-year-old female was found occupying the vehicle’s passenger seat. She was allegedly in possession of a knife. The female was arrested for being in possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a weapon. She was arrested and later released for court on August 22nd, 2024.
