The City of Brandon says starting today (July 2), there will be a partial closure of the intersection of 18th Street and Park Avenue to facilitate the necessary underground infrastructure replacement will commence. This closure will affect the following turning movements:
-Traffic heading northbound on 18th Street will not be able to turn left on Park Avenue. Detour via Brandon Avenue and 26th Street.
-Traffic heading southbound on 18th Street will not be able to turn right or left at Park Avenue. Detour via:
-Victoria Avenue and 13th Street for eastbound Park Avenue
-Brandon Avenue and 26th Street for westbound Park Avenue
-Traffic heading eastbound on Park Avenue will not have any turning movements at 18th Street. Detour via 26th Street and Victoria Avenue or Brandon Avenue
-Traffic heading westbound on Park Avenue will only be able to turn right at 18th Street. Detour via
-13th Street, Victoria Avenue and 26th Street for thru traffic on Park Avenue west of 18th Street
-13th Street and Victoria Avenue for southbound 18th Street
-Business access in the 900 block on the westside of 18th Street can access via crossovers by traffic coming southbound on 18th Street.
-Access to businesses via Park Avenue accesses will remain open during construction
