Intoxicated Person
On July 7th at 7:10AM police responded to a report of an intoxicated female needing assistance outside a business in the 2500 block of Victoria Avenue. Police located and lodged the 38-year-old female. She will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrant
On July 7th at 1:00PM police conducted a persons check in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue. It was confirmed the 22-year-old female had an outstanding warrant of arrest for Failure to Attend Court. She was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice. Court date set for August 29th, 2024.
Failure To Comply With Court Order
On July 7th shortly after 3:00PM, a 911 was received from the 600 block of Franklin Street. Police say arguing could be heard over the line. Police responded and located a male and female. The 25-year-old female was in breach of a court order to have no contact with the male. She was arrested and will be released once sober on an Appearance Notice. Court date set for September 23rd, 2024.
Causing Disturbance/ Assault/ Escape Lawful Custody
On July 7th at 4:15PM police received a call of a male causing a disturbance at a business in the 700 block of 7th Street. Upon attending the 41-year-old male’s behavior escalated and he attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended. He was lodged for court in the morning on July 8th, 2024. Charged with Causing a Disturbance, Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest, and Escape from Lawful Custody.
Traffic Stop Arrest
On July 7th at 5:30PM police with RCMP North Traffic Services conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 50-year-old male as a result. The male was lodged and held for court in the morning on July 8th, 2024. His charges are Operating Conveyance while Prohibited, Failure to Comply with Appearance Notice, and Failure to Attend Court.
Break & Enter
On July 7th at 9:40PM an off-duty police officer reported a break and enter in progress to a garage in the 500 block of 38th Street. A description was provided of the suspects which resulted in police locating and arresting a 39-year-old male as well as a 33-year-old male. Officers say the 39-year-old male had numerous tools on him including pliers, wrenches, and screwdrivers. Damage to the garage door occurred. Both males are charged with Break and Enter with Intent and the 39-year-old is also charged with Possession of Break and Enter Tools. Court date set for September 9th, 2024.
Break & Enter
On July 7th police received a report of a break and enter at 3:00AM in the 200 block of 15th Street. Video surveillance shows three females entering the building after throwing a rock at the main door of the building. At 12:20AM on July 8th a female was arrested at her residence and released on an undertaking. Court date set for September 10th, 2024, with charges of Break and Enter and Mischief Under $5000.
