The Province is seeking contractors to repair Brandon’s 18th Street and it wants to see the construction completed by the start of October.
The Brandon Sun reports “the work out for tender involves the reconstruction of 2.8 kilometres of 18th Street from Rosser Avenue, just south of the Daly Overpass, to Aberdeen Avenue, just south of Canadian Tire.”
The report also says that during construction, one lane of traffic must remain open in each direction. Outside of work hours, “traffic shall be returned to four-lane operation, unless milled surfaces are present.”
Right now, the city is finishing up repairs to underground water lines along 18th Street. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
