Assault
On July 16th at 7:40AM police received a call from Security in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. They had a male in custody who was allegedly resisting arrest and reportedly assaulted a security guard by hitting him with his backpack. The 28-year-old male was arrested and has a court date of September 26th with charges of assault.
Breach of Release Order
On July 16th at 6:00PM a 56-year-old woman was dropped off to Brandon Police Service after breaching a release order. Due to circumstances, police continue to investigate and will see about alternative living arrangements that can be made through the court. She was lodged overnight.
Impaired
On July 16th at 10:30PM police received a call of an impaired driver on the south end of 18th Street. Police located the vehicle who officers found to have a highly intoxicated 41 year old male driver who had previous impaired sanctions. He was arrested and charged for Operation While Impaired and Operation Exceeding 80mgs%. Court date set for July 22nd, 2024. He will be released in the morning.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
On July 16th Saskatchewan RCMP notified Brandon Police Service that they had a 26-year-old male in custody in Melville, SK and had recovered the 2005 Ford F250 from yesterday’s theft. Saskatchewan RCMP proceeding with file.
Breach of Release Order / Public Mischief
On July 17th at 1:50AM Brandon police were called to the 800 block of 1st Street due to complaints of a suspicious person. The male was located and reportedly gave police a false identity. Upon learning his true identity, police found the 17-year-old to be in breach of a release order. He was arrested and lodged for court in the morning on charges of Breach of Release Order and Public Mischief.
IPDA
On July 17th at 12:45AM police found a highly intoxicated individual in the 1800 block of Brandon Avenue. He was arrested and brought to Brandon Hospital to tend to injuries suffered prior to arrest. Once cleared at BRHC he was lodged and will be released once sober.
IPDA
On July 17th at 5:05AM an establishment in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue reported someone trying to gain access to their building. The individual was located by police and was found to be hallucinating and under the influence. The 30-year-old female was lodged and will be released when sober.
Breach of Undertaking – Curfew
On July 17th at 2:45AM police located a 16-year-old male who was breaching curfew in the 500 block of McTavish Avenue. He was taken into custody without incident and released into care. He was given an Appearance Notice for court on September 16th with charges of Breach of Undertaking.
