Manitoba Hydro is getting back into the international consulting game; saying the move will bring in another source of revenue, keeping it public, and keeping rates low for customers. The government says staff will be hired over the next 3-to 4-years; and they will resume bidding on projects around the world, as soon as possible.
A Brandon man will be without his Camper Van this long weekend, after it was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon.
The Brandon Sun is reporting that a GMC camper van parked in front of the Princess Park Apartments at 401 Ninth Street was severely damaged, and a Dodge Caravan, parked beside that camper, was also damaged. There were no injuries.

The Brandon Sun reports that 30-year old, James Lepine pleaded guilty to possession of property obtained by crime, failing to attend court, and 4- counts of possessing a motor vehicle also obtained by crime.

Chris Tym ofi chuk began his quest on July 12 at a Winnipeg Blue Bombers Game. From there, he travelled to Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina, Hamilton, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa and finally Toronto on Saturday night, he beat the previous record of 364 hours by 94 minutes….he also raised $26 thousand dollars for childhood cancer research along the way
