Just over a year ago today was the last time any of his friends or family saw Lyndon McIvor alive. Now, RCMP are asking anyone who might have information on his death to step forward.
According to police, they were called after August 26 of last year when no one could get a hold of McIvor. Community search and rescue found his remains in a forested area on Lake Manitoba First Nation on August 31. Investigators believe his body was dumped in this location and there are more individuals that were involved in his death.
“We know there are people out there that have crucial information on this investigation.” Said Sergeant James Demidiuk of Major Crime Services. “We need those people to come forward and speak to police so everyone involved in this homicide can be held accountable.”
“When we found out that Lyndon was gone, our hearts were torn and broken,” says his mother, Cheryl Maytwayashing. “Lyndon was a son, brother, friend and father to two sons who were his pride and joy. We know there are people that have information on his death and we are asking that you do the right thing and tell police what you know.”
