Theft Under $5000
On September 1st a report of a theft from a storage unit came in. Security footage later assisted police in identifying the 42-year-old male known to police. He is in Brandon Correctional Centre and was advised of his new charges and attended court September 9th, 2024.
IPDA
On September 9th at 6:00PM a 37-year-old intoxicated male was said to be causing a disturbance and now laying in the street in the 1700 block of Pacific Avenue. The male was arrested and held in detention cells. He will be released once sober.
Failure to Comply / Firearm Charges
On September 9th at 3:30PM police received a call of two unwanted males sitting on a residence porch in Cornell Bay. When police arrived, they identified a 38-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Failure to Comply with Conditional Sentence Order X3. He was arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning on September 10, 2024. The second male had no outstanding charges, however police say he had in his possession a guitar case which turned out to be holding a 12-gauge Mossberg gun inside. The second male, 30 years old, was also arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning on September 10, 2024.

Armed Robbery, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Failure to Comply with Undertaking X2
On September 6th at 11:22AM health authorities reported to police that a male had been bear maced and had a gun pulled on him the previous night. The victim was a 39-year-old male. Police say video surveillance shows the victim outside smoking in the 100 block of 13th Street when he was approached by four male suspects who pulled a sawed-off firearm, machete, and a canister of bear mace on him. They surrounded him and demanded his belongings. Once he did so one of the suspects discharged the cannister of bear mace striking the victim. Suspects then fled on foot. An 18-year-old male was identified as one of the suspects and he was arrested at his residence on September 9th, 2024. He was held in detention cells for court in the morning on September 10th, 2024. Another 18-year-old male was identified as co-accused. Police attended his residence on September 9th, 2024, where he allegedly had the victim’s belongings and a can of bear mace. The male was arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning on September 10th, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On the evening of September 9th, a call of an intoxicated male had police attending a business in the 1200 block of 18th Street. Police sat the intoxicated male had reportedly been swearing, causing a disturbance and refused to leave. He then allegedly hit the worker and left. Police located the male in Keystone Centre grounds and after a short foot pursuit the 25-year-old male was arrested and held in detention cells. He will be released once sober. No assault charges being pressed.
Failure to Attend Prints
On September 9th police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 600 block of Brandon Avenue. The 35-year-old male had an endorsed warrant. Prints were completed and the male was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of October 7th, 2024.
