Assault Causing Bodily Harm
On September 10th it was reported three male inmates (Ages 29, 22, 26) assaulted a 40-year-old inmate male victim at Brandon Correctional Centre. Victim sustained a broken nose and ear cartilage. On September 23rd the three suspects were charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Failure to Attend Court / Assault Police Officer / Resist/Obstruct Police Officer / Attempted Break and Enter
On September 23rd police were called to the 800 block of Frederick Street as reports of a male being drunk for the past day and causing a disturbance came in. The male was said to be hollering at people on the street, trying to instigate fights, and smashing things. Police say the male also damaged a neighbor’s door when trying to kick it in. The 42-year-old male was combative with police on the scene. He was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on September 24th, 2024. The male had a Warrant for Failure to Attend Court and obtained new charges of Assaulting a Police Officer, Resist/Obstruct Police Officer and Attempted Break and Enter.
Warrant of Arrest X2 / Possession of Methamphetamine
On September 23rd at 11:11PM while on a walkthrough of an establishment in the 800 block of Rosser, police recognized a 22-year-old female as the subject of a Warrant of Arrest (Breach of Undertaking X2). She was arrested and was found to be in possession of a small quantity of meth. She was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on September 24th, 2024.
Possession of Dangerous Weapon / Breach of Release Order
On September 23rd at 11:30PM a homeowner in the 700 block of 24th Street reported a male coming to the house claiming to have been bear sprayed then walked away. Male matching description was located by police and found to be in possession of a machete and had an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. The 24-year-old male was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on September 24th, 2024.
Breach of Undertaking
On September 24th at 3:18AM police patrol observed a 28-year-old male at Town Centre. He was bound by an Undertaking with conditions not to attend the Town Centre. He was arrested and released on the scene on an Appearance Notice. Court date set for November 21, 2024.
