As part of a condition assessment of underground wastewater sewer infrastructure on Park Avenue, three significant damaged sections were flagged, that require urgent repairs. A road closure on Park Avenue from 15th to 17th Street will be required to complete repairs in a safe manner.
⛔ Starting October 3rd an overland temporary sewer by-pass will be installed to allow continuous flow of the sewer during the work. Turning movements off Park Avenue from 15th Street to 17th Street over the by-pass pipe will not be permitted. Traffic on Park Avenue eastbound and westbound will be permitted until October 8th.
⛔ Starting October 8th crews will close the roadway completely to start the underground repairs. This closure is anticipated to remain for one week, however unforeseen circumstances can cause delays. Detours will be in place directing traffic to use College Avenue. Business access along the south side of Park Avenue will be maintained with local traffic only.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area while the work is taking place.
Asphalt overlay on Park Avenue from 16th Street to 18th Street was postponed due to this work and is now planned to be completed in 2025.
