In a social media post today, the Brandon Police Service (BPS) says it’s “currently looking for the publics assistance in locating the owners of five puppies that were found this morning abandoned in the east end of the city.
Animal control officers would like to speak to the owner(s) to ensure the health and welfare of the parent dog and gather more information about the puppies.
Currently the puppies appear to be in good health and are being safely cared for. Animal Control is not seeking foster care, and the animals are NOT currently available for adoption.
In situations where times may become tough, we would like to remind pet owners to please reach out for help or call Animal Control before resorting to abandoning and putting the animals at risk.”
If you recognize these puppies and know who the owner(s) may be, please contact BPS:
