It’s Manitoba AG Ex week in Brandon. The largest All-Breeds Cattle Show in Manitoba attracts exhibitors and visitors from around the province, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
Competition is high within breeds with the Little Lady Classic, Jackpot Bull Show, and Junior Show and Showmanship.
All classes are huge draws, but one of the fan favorites is the Supreme Breed Extravaganza where the champions from all shows compete. The winners advance to Canadian Western Agribition in Regina.
For kids in Grades 3 to 5 – ‘Moo Mania’ offers hands-on educational opportunities – they’ll learn about livestock and about where our food comes from, as well as healthy environmental practices. New this year will be ‘Ewe Mania’ showcasing sheep in agriculture.
Manitoba Ag Ex is free to attend and runs until Saturday at the Keystone Centre.
