The Brandon Chamber of Commerce hosted its Celebrating Small Business Success Luncheon Thursday (Oct 24), bringing together over 250 attendees, including special guests from the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Tour. Held at the MNP Keystone Centre, the event recognized over 70 local businesses celebrating milestone anniversaries, with 10 businesses present in celebration of Small Business Week.
Compass Credit Union joined as the host sponsor, while booth sponsors included SV Benefits, Westcan HR, Wilder Institute, and the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce.
The keynote speaker, Spencer Day, President and CEO of Progressive Westman, shared his inspiring journey through business ownership, highlighting the importance of community and collaboration in achieving business success. Spencer’s leadership has driven Progressive Westman’s growth in sanitation, cleaning equipment, and rental services, leaving a significant impact on both the company and the broader Westman community.
Certificates of achievement were presented to recognize the remarkable contributions of local businesses, celebrating their milestones and continued success in the community. The event underscored the essential role small businesses play in driving economic growth and fostering community development.
