Work has begun to replace and upgrade all traffic cabinets and controllers at intersections throughout the city. These cabinets and controllers oversee the function of traffic signals, as well as changing the lights according to the programmed timing sequence.
New equipment has been installed at the intersection of Princess Ave and 10th Street.
This intersection may, at times, be out of coordination with the rest of the Princess Ave corridor, which could result in some traffic funneling delays.
As part of this installation, new parts are required to connect the new system with the old system. Once these parts arrive, they will be installed to correct this issue.
