Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the City of Brandon.
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
A winter storm will bring a wintery mix of snow, freezing rain, and/or rain to the region today. Total snowfall: 10 to 20 cm Freezing rain duration: 0 to 6 hours Maximum wind gusts: 50 to 60 km/h Time span: Mixed precipitation this morning changing to widespread snow midday.
This system will produce heavy snowfall rates of as much as 2 cm per hour. The extent of freezing rain will be heavily impacted by local temperature regimes with temperatures hovering near the freezing mark across much of the region by evening.
