Does your child have a couple of Olivias or Liams in their class? There’s a good chance they do since those continue to top the list of the most popular baby names, according to the Social Security Administration’s annual report. The results for 2024 have just come out, revealing a lot of parents seem to be sticking with the usual favorites.
- The SSA started sharing the baby name list back in 1997 and this year’s top 10 is full of many familiar names.
- For the sixth year in a row, Olivia is the number one girls name and Liam leads the list for boys.
- Along with the most popular names, the SSA also shares the names that are rising fastest in popularity.
- For girls, Ailany, which means “chief,” is the name that rose the most in popularity last year. It’s followed by Aylani, Marjorie, Scottie and Analeia.
- Truce, which means “peace,” climbed 11,118 spots to be the baby boy name that rose the fastest in popularity in 2024. Colsen, Bryer, Halo and Azaiah round out the top five.
