The top three seeds are the final three teams still standing in the chase for the 2015 Safeway Championship in Brandon.
Third-seed Reid Carruthers advanced to Sunday’s final after knocking off top-seed Mike McEwen 6-5 in an extra end in Sunday night’s Page 1-2 Playoff Game.
"When we started the week that’s where we wanted to be," said Carruthers. "I’m kind of speechless after that game because it was a bit of grind for both teams. For us, we get some rest and we get to play a great team either way."
Carruthers will play McEwen or 11-time Manitoba champion Jeff Stoughton in the final at 2:30 p.m. at Westman Communications Group Place.
McEwen and Stoughton square off in the semifinal at 9 a.m. after Stoughton advanced with a 6-4 win over Canadian junior champion Braden Calvert in the Page 3-4 Playoff Game.
"I feel fine," said McEwen. "It feels like it’s been a long year and we can get what we want this morning against Jeff and put ourselves in the final, so I feel good about that."
