IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
On May 22nd at 6:49PM BPS (Brandon Police Service) received a report of an intoxicated male passed out in a back lane near Elviss Crescent. Police attended and located the 43-year-old male. He was medically cleared and held in detention cells until sober.
Arrest Warrant
On May 22nd at 8:27PM a BPS officer initiated a warrant check at a residence on Wankling Blvd. The 51-year-old male was home and arrested on the strength of his endorsed Warrant of Arrest (Failure to Comply Probation X2). He was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of June 19th, 2025.
Failure to Comply Release Order
On May 22nd at 11:34PM BPS received reports of a male acting erratically at a business in the 1000 block of 18th Street. Police located the male matching the description. The intoxicated 22-year-old male had a no consume clause from a Release Order. He was medically cleared and held in detention cells for court in the morning.
Theft Under $5000
On May 15th a business in Corral Centre reported a male suspect who stole $340 in merchandise. The suspect was identified through security footage. On May 22nd BPS member attended Brandon Correctional Centre (BCC) where the 40-year-old male is currently held. The male was arrested and will appear in court in the morning on May 23rd, 2025.
Warrant Executed
On May 22nd at 10:24AM a 56-year-old male attended BPS to turn himself in as he was aware of an outstanding Warrant for Arrest (Breach of Probation). He was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of August 19th, 2025.
Warrant Executed
On May 22nd a 20-year-old male with an outstanding BPS Warrant for Arrest (Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime over $5000) turned himself into the Winnipeg Police Service. Ident was completed and he was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of July 10th, 2025.
Warrant Executed
On May 22nd police attended a residence in the 600 block of 9th Street to execute a Warrant. The 37-year-old female was at home. The Warrant was executed (Failure to Comply Probation), she was arrested and held in detention cells. She will attend court in the morning on May 23rd, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
On May 22nd at 1:59PM an off-duty officer reported seeing a suspect shoplift at a business in the 1800 block of 18th Street North. The suspect was prevented from leaving by the off-duty officer. On-duty BPS Members attended and arrested the 35-year-old male. (The $200 stolen DeWalt Automotive Jump Starter was recovered). The male was later released by Undertaking with a court date of July 31st, 2025.
Warrant Executed
On May 22nd at 1:22PM police identified a 43-year-old male who had a Warrant for Arrest (Breach of Undertaking X3) in the 2100 block of McDonald Avenue. The male was arrested and later released with a court date of July 3rd, 2025.

On May 22nd at 4:38PM police identified a 33-year-old female who had an endorsed Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Attend Ident) in the 000 block of 9th Street. The female was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of June 19th, 2025.
