Failure to Comply Undertaking / Court Order
In the past 24 hours, two individuals were arrested for breach-related offences. A 36-year-old male was arrested and held for court in the morning after being located hiding under blankets as a passenger in a vehicle occupied by a woman with whom he was prohibited from communicating with under the conditions of an undertaking.
In a separate incident, a 37-year-old male was arrested after attending the place of employment of a female he was court-ordered not to contact or attend. He was later released on an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear in court on March 12, 2026.
Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours four Arrest Warrants were executed.
Accident Investigation
At 4:42 a.m. this morning someone called in reporting that they had come across a truck wrapped around a tree at the corner of 1st street in the 1300 block. The driver, 28-year-old male who had left the scene on foot, was located by police around Richmond and 2nd Avenue. The male was vomiting and required an ambulance. The matter remains under investigation.
Breach of the Peace
On January 12th at 7:55 p.m. police were called to a residence in the 500 block of Percy Street as a 16-year-old female was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The female was arrested and will be released once sober in the morning.
Immediate Roadside Prohibition
On January 12th at 7:01 p.m. police received a complaint of an impaired driver near the 700 block of Princess Avenue that was driving the wrong way. The vehicle was stopped in the 1100 block of Rosser Avenue. An open bottle as well as several cans of alcohol were observed. The driver, a 31-year-old male, failed two roadside breath samples on the Approved Screening Device. The vehicle was towed and will be impounded for 30 days as well as the driver received a 90-day license suspension. Two additional tickets were given in relation to disobeying road rules and the unlawful transportation of liquor.
