Record Store Day is set tomorrow. The lineup for the annual celebration of all things vinyl is already out. This year’s drop stretches from classic rock royalty to buzzy pop favorites, with plenty of curveballs in between. - Rock Legends Raid The Vaults: Bruce Springsteen brings his epic 2024 Asbury Park homecoming to vinyl for the first time in a massive multi-LP set. David Bowie returns to wax with a neon pink 12-inch EP collecting six remixes of “Hallo Spaceboy.” Neil Young & the Chrome Hearts are set to release ”The Live Album,” which was recorded during the band’s 2025 “Love Earth” tour.
- Lost Albums and Long-Awaited Releases Finally Arrive: Slipknot’s mythical “Look Outside Your Window” finally escapes rumor status with an official release. Bruno Mars packages his biggest collaborations into one sleek collection, “Collaborations.” Carly Rae Jepsen finally gives fan-favorite “Disco Darling” an official physical release in a baby blue 7-inch single format.
- Live Albums Steal the Spotlight: Jeff Buckley, Pixies, and Blur all see landmark performances pressed to vinyl for the first time with “Live À L’Olympia,” “Live in Newport,” and “Live At The Budokan,” respectively.
- Indie, Experimental, and Alt Get Weird (In a Good Way): Sonic Youth offers a radical remix experiment with “Diamond Seas” that stitches together dozens of live performances into something entirely new. Dinosaur Jr. revisit formative eras with long-overdue vinyl love with “Live in Hollywood 1991 – The Green Mind Tour.”
- Metal, Punk, and Heavy Favorites Come in Hot: Bad Brains returns to vinyl for the first time in decades with “Live,” while Sleep Token shows up with a literal liquid-filled “Caramel” single. BABYMETAL rounds out a lineup with “Live At the O2 Arena” that proves heavy music never does subtle on Record Store Day.
- Surprise Picks and Pure Fun Factor: Adam Sandler’s classic comedy album “They’re All Gonna Laugh At You!” gets a bright vinyl glow-up. Tony Bennett’s “MTV Unplugged” finally hits vinyl, because class never goes out of style.
- Country and America Favorites: Brandi Carlile drops “Live at Easy Street Records Vol II,” George Jones – “Cold Hard Truth,” and Tyler Childers – “Live From Dinosaur World (Exclusive, 7″).”
