Manitoba is asking residents to help shape the future of the province’s twice‑a‑year clock change. Through an online survey on the EngageMB platform, Manitobans can weigh in on whether the province should adopt permanent standard time, permanent daylight time, or continue switching clocks each spring and fall.
Premier Wab Kinew is also promoting the consultation through a new TikTok video, encouraging Manitobans to have their say. In the clip, he lays out the choice plainly: earlier winter sunrises, later summer sunsets, or keeping the current system.

The province says public feedback will guide its next steps as it considers whether Manitoba should join other jurisdictions that have moved away from seasonal time changes. Manitoba residents can complete the survey here until the consultation period closes.
