Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours six individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. Two of those arrested were held in custody for court on the morning of May 22nd, while the remaining four were released on an Appearance Notice or Undertaking with future court dates.
Breach of the Peace / Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, three individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace, while another three highly intoxicated individuals were taken into custody under the Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act (PDCIPA). All are expected to be released once calm and sober.
Assault
On May 21st at approximately 3:55 p.m., a 38-year-old woman called 911 to report that she had been assaulted outside a business in the 100 block of 5th Street by a male and female known to her. Police located the suspects — a 31-year-old male and a 37-year-old female — in the parking lot of a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. Both individuals were intoxicated at the time of their arrest. The pair were each charged with Assault and taken into custody and lodged in Brandon Police Service detention cells. They are scheduled to be released on an Undertaking once sober, with a court appearance set for July 30, 2026.
