Sherwin-Williams just revealed its most ignored paint shade, and it’s getting a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons.
The color, called Offbeat Green, has been dubbed the company’s “loneliest color” because hardly anyone buys it.
It’s described as a bright lime green, but most people say it looks more like broccoli—or even green soup—which probably explains why it keeps getting passed over.
Still, Sherwin-Williams is trying to give it a glow-up. They’ve teamed up with LeBron James’ foundation to feature the color in projects (including on a front door), and they’re even leaning into the joke with a full “Loneliest Color” campaign.
If you’re brave enough to try it, there’s a bonus—buying the paint enters you into a contest for prizes like a signed LeBron basketball, exclusive merch, and a $1,000 gift card.
