Manitobans are being invited to help shape a new specialty licence plate celebrating the province’s provincial parks. The Manitoba government has opened public voting on several proposed designs, giving residents a chance to choose the look that will represent Manitoba’s natural spaces on roads across the province. 1
The new plate will allow drivers to show pride in Manitoba’s park system while supporting conservation efforts. A portion of the proceeds from every plate sold will go toward park improvements, including infrastructure upgrades, accessibility enhancements, public safety initiatives, and environmental protection projects. 1
Provincial officials say the initiative reflects strong public interest in outdoor recreation and long‑term stewardship of Manitoba’s 93 provincial parks. Funds raised through the program will be directed to projects that improve visitor experiences while protecting ecological integrity.
The licence plate program is administered through Manitoba Public Insurance and will become available next year once the final design is selected. Voting is open to all Manitobans and will remain open until the end of July.
