The story of how a low-level actor wrote and starred in one of the most heralded films in Hollywood history is itself being made into a movie. “I Play Rocky” stars Anthony Ippolito as struggling actor Sylvester Stallone, who decided the only way he’ll get a starring role in a film is to write the script himself. The film examines the roadblocks Stallone had to overcome, and the guns he had to stick to, to realize his vision and put “Rocky” on the big screen. The film stars Stephan James as Carl Weathers, plus AnnaSophia Robb, Matt Dillon, Toby Kebbell, Tracy Letts, Jay Duplass and Robert Morgan and hits theaters this November.
