Arrest Warrant
In the past 24 hours, one arrest warrant was executed. The 19-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service (BPS) for a criminal record check and was found to have a Warrant for Arrest (Assault with Weapon, Assault, Utter Threats, Failure to Attend Court).
The female was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of October 20th, 2026.
Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, one individual was arrested under the PDCIPA. The 40-year-old female will be released in the morning once sober.
Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours two individuals from the same incident were arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. The 22-year-old male and 28-year-old female will be released once sober.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
On August 7th at 2:15 a.m. while an officer was on general patrol, they located a stolen 2014 Subaru Forester around the1600 block of 18th Street. The vehicle was towed to BPS and secured for investigation.
Failure to Comply Release Order x2 / Possession of Property for Purpose of Trafficking x2 / Public Mischief / Possess Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
On August 7th, 2026, at approximately 3:46 a.m., police initiated a traffic stop on Kasiurak Bay. A 29-year-old male passenger in the vehicle, which was operating as an Uber from Winnipeg, initially provided police with a false name. Officers subsequently developed grounds to detain the male. During the investigation, two Ontario identification cards were located. One was determined to be counterfeit, while the other belonged to the accused. A records check revealed the accused was bound by a Release Order that included an absolute curfew requiring him to remain at an address in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Following the arrest, a search incident to arrest located an approximately one-kilogram brick of cocaine in the accused’s travel bag. Officers also seized a second cellular phone, which constituted an additional breach of the Release Order, as well as approximately $1,100 in cash.
During the booking process, officers located several smaller packages containing an unidentified substance concealed in the pockets of the shorts the accused was wearing underneath his pants. The accused was arrested and held in Brandon Police Service custody. He was scheduled to appear in court on the morning of August 7th, 2026.
