Beginning on September 3, the Brandon Regional Health Centre is warning patients that access to several of its departments and parking availability is going to change due to infrastructure work taking place nearby.
Starting tomorrow, Russell Street will be closed from Victoria Avenue to the hospital parking lot road. Victoria Avenue in front of Brandon Regional Health Centre will be reduced to one roadway.
The south side of Victoria Avenue will be closed, and two-way traffic (eastbound and westbound) will be maintained on the north side of the street. These closures are expected to remain in place for about two weeks.
During this time, the Addictions Services parking lot will be closed and access to the main entrance of Brandon Regional Health Centre will be temporarily rerouted. Prairie Mountain Health has offered the following instructions for hospital access.
Accessing the Main Hospital Entrance
If travelling on 1st Street (from either direction):
• Turn east onto Victoria Avenue.
• Turn right onto Dennis Street.
