Horror fans finally have their first full look at Crystal Lake, Peacock’s upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series.
The show stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees and explores the events surrounding young Jason’s drowning and the devastating grief that pushes his mother down a dark path of revenge. If the trailer is any indication, this series isn’t holding back on the horror.
Cardellini recently hinted that the practical effects were intense, saying some of the on-set gore was so realistic it was hard to watch. Alongside Cardellini, the cast includes Callum Vinson, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch, and Phoenix Parnevik.
Crystal Lake premieres October 15, just in time for Halloween season.
