Wendy’s is fully embracing its emo era.
The fast-food chain has released a six-song album called Songs to Listen to in the Wendy’s Parking Lot. To match the vibe, Wendy herself got a makeover, trading her iconic pigtails for side-swept bangs, black eyeliner, and dark hair bows.
The project was produced by Matt Squire, whose resume includes artists like Ariana Grande, Panic! at the Disco, and Sabrina Carpenter. It also features vocalists from bands such as Memphis May Fire, Silverstein, State Champs, and Holy Wars.
As for the song titles? They’re delightfully dramatic, with tracks like “My Frosty’s Funeral” and “The Best Combo Meal on the Worst Night of My Life.”
The album quickly caught fire online, with even rock band Motionless in White joking that there was “absolutely no competing with this.” Safe to say, Wendy’s latest marketing stunt is serving up plenty of laughs—and surprisingly catchy tunes.
