Breach of the Peace
On September 28th at 7:56 p.m. police attended a house in the 300 block of 7th Street for a disturbance. An intoxicated 40-year-old male had smashed the TV within the residence. The male was arrested and brought to BPS detention cells. A family member later attended BPS and agreed to care for the male for the night until the male was sober. He was released to the family member.
Operation While Impaired / Operation Exceeding 80 mgs%
At 5:13 p.m. on September 28th, BPS received a report of a vehicle being driven dangerously on 18th Street as it entered Brandon from the south. Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Willowdale Crescent. The 32-year-old female driver failed an Approved Screening Device (ASD) test and was arrested. She was transported to BPS for further breath samples, which registered at 140 mg% and 130 mg%. The female, who was not from Brandon, was held in BPS detention cells until sober. She will be released in the morning by way of an Appearance Notice with a court date set for October 5th, 2026.
Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
At 3:52 a.m. on September 29th, BPS officers were conducting a traffic stop in the 000 block of 10th Street when an intoxicated male repeatedly interfered with police. The 36-year-old male was directed to leave the area but refused to do so. He was subsequently arrested and brought to BPS detention cells. As the male did not have anyone available to care for him while intoxicated, he will remain in custody until sober and released in the morning.
Arrest Warrant
On September 28th at 3:22 p.m. a persons check was conducted in the 000 block of 7th Street. The 50-year-old male was found to have an endorsed Warrant for Arrest. He was brought to BPS where he was processed and released via Undertaking with a future court date of October 29th, 2026.
