Kraft Dinner is experimenting with more than just the classic cheddar flavour Canadians have known for generations. The brand has been promoting a range of specialty mac and cheese varieties, including Ranch, Hot Honey, JalapeƱo, Garlic Parmesan and Pizza.
While the new flavours have generated plenty of buzz online, Canadians may have a harder time tracking them down. The specialty flavours appear to be limited-run products with patchy availability, not yet part of the regular KD lineup in Canada. Some varieties have surfaced through Canadian retailers and marketplace sellers, but widespread distribution has not been confirmed.
KD also ventured into dessert territory earlier this year with the launch of KD Mac & Cheesecake, a limited-time offering that blended the brand’s signature cheese flavour into both the cheesecake filling and graham cracker crust. The dessert was available through select bakery partners across Canada, including a participating bakery in Winnipeg.
Whether it’s spicy pasta, ranch-flavoured comfort food or even cheesecake, Kraft Dinner appears determined to prove there’s more to Canada’s unofficial national dish than the familiar blue box.
