Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – The Brandon University Bobcats women’s basketball team have added a second recruit for the 2018-19 season.
The new player is Kendal Russell, a 5-foot-8 guard out of Strathmore, Alberta.
Russell, a soon to be graduate of Chestermere High School where she was a stand-out guard with the Lakers basketball program, committed to the Bobcats after a recent campus visit.
Russell will graduate from Chestermere this June after leading the Lakers to an appearance in the Alberta Schools Athletic Association 4A provincial championship.
She also captured the three-point shooting championship at the Alberta Shooting Stars Basketball Showcase.
Russell becomes the second commitment for the 2018-19 season, joining Winkler product Laney Harder in the Bobcats’ incoming class.
