The list of Manitoba businesses that have been fined during COVID-19 continues to grow as two more restaurants have been issued tickets for violating health guidelines.
According to the province, Brandon’s Lee’s Buffet and Chaise Corydon in Winnipeg were both fined over $2,542. At the start of the pandemic, fines were set by the Manitoba government at $486 for individuals and $2,542 for businesses who fail to follow public health measures.
The violations came during Phase 2 of the province’s re-opening plan that came into effect on June 1.
On Sunday (June 21) Manitoba’s Phase 3 of the re-opening plan began allowing restaurants to open at full capacity as long as tables were two metres apart or separated by a physical barrier.
