It’s the first big step towards the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in South Korea and four Westman products are on Hockey Canada’s radar.
Brittni Mowat of Glenboro, Halli Krzyzaniak of Neepawa, Brandon’s Ashleigh Brykaliuk and Cassidy Carels of Bruxelles have been invited to the national women’s program strength and conditioning camp.
Canada’s under-18 women’s strength and conditioning camp runs the same time with Brandon’s Kristen Campbell, Melissa Hunt of Hartney and MacGregor’s Sheridan Oswald taking part.
It is part of the evaluation process in picking the roster that will wear the maple leaf at the 2015 world championship.
Both camps are being held in Hamilton, Ontario from May 7th to 11th.
