It’s a special week in hockey history for the Brandon AAA Midget Wheat Kings.
Friday, April 25th marks the official 10-year anniversary that the Wheat Kings captured the 2004 National Midget Hockey Championship behind captain Taylor Langford’s overtime winner in the final.

Tyler Dittmer was named the tournament’s top forward for the Wheat Kings while Ryan White of the Montreal Canadiens was among those on the Brandon roster.
In the 36-year history of the tournament, Brandon is one of only two Manitoba teams to take home the Canadian title, with the other being the 2011 Winnipeg Thrashers.
