Dauphin battled back with goals from Tanner Butler and Dillan McCombie in the opening 91 seconds of the final frame to pull to within one.
Kailum Gervais restored a two-goal advance for Yorkton at 4:23 before Tanner Lomsnes got Dauphin back to within a goal at 7-6 just past the midway mark of the third period.
