Trent B. has tried 7 ways from Sunday to get me to use Twitter. Sooooo many people have asked “why aren’t you on Twitter?” Basically it’s because I’m a techno-moron that just can’t grasp the concept of Twitter and many other social media apps. It’s taken me years to get a firm grasp on Facebook and even then I have to re-learn it when they change the format. I’m just not technical. I didn’t grow up with technology. We had a phone attached to the wall. I learned to type on a manual typewriter. Yes, I have a cell phone but I have no idea what capabilities it has other than phone calls, texts and a camera. I guess I’m old fashioned but I prefer to talk to people in person, I don’t really care what someone I barely know had for dinner or what movie they’re going to see and I’m really not fond of all the negativity perpetuated by social media. People tell me without social media we might as well live in a bubble. I kinda like that idea so, if you’re looking for me, I’ll be over here in my bubble enjoying human interaction and staying away from keyboard warriors as much as possible.
