When it comes to clearing, organizing and hygiene habits you’d think it would be safe to say most of us fall somewhere in the middle on a wide spectrum between Obsessive and Utterly Unsanitary
But looking at the results of a recent survey done by Hammonds, a U.K.-based furniture company, I’m not so sure anymore. The survey asked people how often they wash various clothing and household items and by far the biggest jaw dropper was 1 in 3 people say they wash their bed sheets once a year or less! In other words far less than the once a week that is normally recommended.
Once a year! That’s so gross! I’m not saying I’m perfect we normally wash our sheets once every 2 or 3 weeks.
So what else are people washing once a year? What are the percentages?
- Coats (38%)
- Blankets (39%)
- Cushion Covers (33%)
- Bedsheets (30%)
- Scarves (28%)
- Gloves (25%)
- Jeans (18%)
- Suits (17%)
- Sweaters (15%)
- Pants (14%)
- Hats (14%)
- Hoodies (13%)
What is something you’re probably not cleaning nearly as often as you should?
