Fundraiser BBQ

I have been working with a primary school in rural Uganda for over 20 years and have worked on numerous projects with and for them.  I have also visited the school on a number of occasions.  The last time I was there was when the Mission Uganda team raised funds to build new pit latrines on the school property.  Our team consists of four women from Brandon and area who are passionate about helping this particular school.

The current project is to raise $7,000 (we’re already half way there) to finish off a classroom build.  Construction was funded by another Canadian organization out of BC called Classrooms for Africa.  Our funding will provide finishes like painting inside and out, furniture and classroom supplies.

We will be selling hotdogs at Sobey’s West on June 20 and 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are hoping to get some help with spreading the word to get people in. We are in the planning stages for at least two other fundraising events in the next couple months.
