On May 18, 2022, shortly after 2:00 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of a 15-year-old boy who left a residence carrying bear mace. Police learned that the youth was also wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation and Fail to Attend Court. Police located the youth in the area of 8th street and Brock Avenue. Police say once he was spotted, he allegedly attempted to evade arrest by running through yards, and jumping fences before being arrested. A 15-year-old youth was later released and will appear in court on July 19, 2022 on charges of Fail to Comply with Probation, Fail to Attend Court, Possess Weapon, and Resist Arrest.
